Sassuolo Calcio and Aqualy are pleased to announce their new partnership for the 2022/2023 season.
Sustainable carton water has conquered Sassuolo Calcio, a club that is very conscious of athletes’ health and environmental protection, which has therefore chosen to share the same values as Aqualy.
Circular economy
The partnership between Sassuolo Calcio and Aqualy provides for the effective recycling of packaging after consumption, a unique project in Serie A.
The beverage cartons will be collected in special containers located inside and outside the stadium during sporting events.
Through COMIECO, the consortium for the collection and recycling of paper and carton packaging, they will be selected and sent to the plants of the multinational paper company of LUCART Group. The paper fibers contained in the beverage cartons will be recycled, separating them from the other aluminium and polyethylene components, to become new eco-friendly paper, towels, and tissues. The products obtained can then also be used in the sports facilities of Sassuolo Calcio thanks to dispensers made with aluminum and polyethylene of the boxes. This closes the recycling phase and further reduces the impact on the environment.

Thanks to the advice of our “Eco Partner” Ambiente e Salute società Benefit, in collaboration with Legambiente – that advocate for the dissemination of a sustainable culture in sports – we have created, together with Aqualy, a circular economy project designed down to the last detail that will also allow us to eliminate 300,000 plastic bottles. Even the players themselves will become testimonials for the dissemination of good practices communicated in the custom carton with the black&green Sassuolo jersey.”
