The football pitch and the waves of the sea, team play and the challenge of solitude, the cheers of a Serie A stadium and the sound of the ocean.
To discover the differences and similarities of two very different sports, Domenico Berardi, Sassuolo Calcio’s star striker, and Ambrogio Beccaria, ocean navigator, met at Mapei Football Center.
The two athletes got to know each other closely, celebrating the meeting with an exchange of jersey: the black&green one of Mapei football team, which has been playing in the Serie A Championship for ten years, and the uniform of the Alla Grande Pirelli project captained by Ambrogio, who has been sailing for a year aboard his futuristic boat of which Mapei is global sponsor.
Ambrogio also took part in the initial phase of Sassuolo’s training sessions, juggling the ball. Will the next appointment be aboard his Class40 to test Berardi’s skills at sea? We will keep you posted.
